Director of Obstetric Anesthesia at Mount Sinai Hospital
Cross appointed as Associate
Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology, University of Toronto, in 2004.
Promoted to Full Professor of
Anesthesia and Obstetrics and Gynecology, University of Toronto, in 2010.
Main areas of research include:
use of ultrasound in obstetric anesthesia; uterotonics and postpartum
hemorrhage; labor analgesia; postpartum pain management; management of high
risk obstetric women, particularly preeclampsia, cardiac disease, neurologic
conditions and obesity; complications in obstetric anesthesia; quality
improvement, interprofessional education.
