Difficult Airway ($600)
The Difficult Airway Pre-Conference Workshop has been created by a collaboration of our local and invited faculty who are practicing international experts in anesthesiology and based upon up to date evidence that has shaped our understanding of difficult and failed airway management. This program is open to all levels of anesthesia practitioners who seek to enhance existing skills in the difficult airway, awake intubation, the failed airway, front of neck access, safe extubation and airway exchange catheters. Our hands-on, interactive approach to learning emphasizes evidence, reinforces skills and provides the assurance of being comfortable in the safe clinical management of the airway.
Regional Anesthesia ($600)
This full-day workshop is intended for healthcare professionals with limited previous experience in ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia who wish to incorporate it into their practice. Participants are supported by faculty with extensive experience teaching at a variety of international conferences and societies including the Canadian Anesthesiologists’ Society (CAS) American Society of Regional Anesthesia (ASRA) and the American Anesthesiology Association (ASA).
Participants will have ample opportunities to perform hands-on scanning on live models in a small group setting. At the end of the workshop, participants will have acquired essential ultrasound skills for spine, trunk, upper and lower limb regional anesthesia techniques.
